After wrapping up our massive wiring projects, Devyn finally had some time to tackle another crucial job—cleaning up our workspace and taking care of a stack of old hard drives. But we’re not just talking about neatly stacking them for recycling. Nope, we’re talking full-on destruction.
Before any hard drives leave our hands, we make sure they’re completely unusable. Why? Because even a discarded hard drive can still contain sensitive data. Simply deleting files or formatting the drive isn’t enough—data can still be recovered with the right tools. That’s why we take extra precautions by physically destroying them before sending them off for proper recycling.
By crushing the drives, we ensure that no one can access any remaining data, keeping our clients’ and our own information safe. Plus, responsible e-waste disposal means we’re doing our part to keep old tech out of landfills and ensure materials get repurposed properly.
Of course, smashing hard drives is also pretty satisfying—like tech therapy with a side of security. And as a bonus, it helps Devyn save on a gym membership. Who needs dumbbells when you’ve got a pile of hard drives to obliterate? Check out the video and watch him put those arms to work!
