Gaming Computer Revival

A customer brought in his trusty gaming rig recently, frustrated that it wouldn’t power on after a recent move. Our tech dove in, giving it a thorough dusting and carefully checking every connection from the power supply to the motherboard. But still—no power. Here’s where it got tricky: the issue could have been with either the power supply unit (PSU) or the motherboard, so we couldn’t guarantee a fix with just one swap.

We provided the customer with a couple of cost estimates, clearly explaining that a new PSU might fix the problem, but we didn’t want to promise anything since a motherboard replacement could also be in the cards. We’re all about giving customers the final say, especially when it comes to repairs that aren’t guaranteed to solve the issue.

In the end, the customer chose to go with the PSU swap, and bingo—it worked! We ran updates, tidied things up, and got the PC running like a champ again.

The photos will show just how much care went into this project—we gave this PC a thorough cleaning to clear out dust and debris that had built up over time. A good cleanup can make a world of difference, helping components run cooler and extending the life of the system. Now, this gaming rig is looking fresher and running smoother than ever!
