Power Surge Damage

We recently had a customer bring in their laptop that refused to power on after a nasty power surge. Our team dove right in to investigate, and boy, did they uncover some interesting findings! It turns out the motherboard took quite a shock, leaving the laptop completely unresponsive, regardless of whether the battery was plugged in or not. We suspect the power distribution from the charge port to the battery got jumbled up somewhere, as none of our tried-and-tested adapters seemed to do the trick. To top it off, the radiator had a discolored appearance with a noticeable ridge, pointing towards a potential electrical failure or overload. We've attached an image so you can see for yourself! Now, here's the deal: we'll do our best to recover any valuable data, but we can't make any promises if the motherboard is damaged beyond repair.
