The Mystery Chirp

Ever heard of a tech mystery? Well, we just cracked one!

Our client reached out about a perplexing chirping noise echoing from their equipment room. After some sleuthing, our tech discovered a few loose adapters and a symphony of drywall dust coating their devices. But the plot thickened when their drives started humming and thunking. The tech also discovered that there was some extra heat coming from the firewall and switch.

After blowing off the dust the best they could, giving some much needed space to the hot devices, performing updates, and labeling all the suspects, our tech waited to hear back that the chirp returned. You know these things never happen with the techs are there!

The client called the next day and let us know that  "Jiminy Cricket" was their battery backup! We were able to order and install a new battery backup quickly. With a new backup in place, the chirps ceased, and our client's peace of mind was restored.
