We recently wrapped up an exciting project where we installed six additional security cameras in a large workshop. We handled the job utilizing forklifts and tall ladders to navigate the expansive space. It was quite the adventure!
During the installation, we encountered a bit of a challenge. We discovered that the existing Power Over Ethernet (PoE) switch was maxed out, with all its ports in use by other cameras and phones. Not ones to be easily deterred, we got approval to upgrade to a 48-port PoE switch. This upgrade not only allowed us to connect the last two cameras seamlessly but also provided us with extra ports for any future additions.
After pulling cables and securing the cameras in place, we registered each one into the system to ensure they were fully operational. The result? The six new cameras are now up and running smoothly, providing comprehensive coverage and enhanced security for the workshop. This upgrade has not only solved our immediate port issue but also future-proofed the setup, making room for any additional devices down the line.
